Each Luxury Tent can hold a maximum of 4 people. If your group is larger than 4, we recommend reserving two tents. Children under 3 are not included in the occupancy count for traveling families. 

Sleeping arrangement provided include one queen bed only. You may opt to bring your own sleeping bags or airbeds for up to 2 additional people. 

Yes we do! There is a pet fee of $25/pet/night. Please note the Florida State Park Pet Policy. We will require full replacement cost of damaged items, or for any accidents. 

COVID Policy: reservations made on or after 2/7/22 are not eligible for refunds due to Covid related travel interruptions. If the primary booker is sick with Covid, rescheduling will be offered without penalty if a positive Covid test can be provided with a test date of 3 days or less prior to check-in and includes the name of the person who made the reservation. 

Reservations are eligible for a full refund if cancelled prior to 30 days before your check-in date. 

Reservations are eligible for a 50 % refund between 8-30 days of your check-in date. 

Reservation are not eligible for a refund within 7 days of your check-in date. 

Reservations may be rescheduled, based on availability, prior to 7 days before your check-in date without penalty. 

Rescheduling within 7 days of your check-in date may be arranged with a transfer fee equal to one night at the current advertised rate.

The cooling/heating unit in the tent is intended to add a bit of relief from typical Florida weather. On average, you can expect that the unit will offer a 5-15 degree difference from the exterior temperature. 

During the heat of the afternoons, the A/C has little impact on the interior temperature. In the evenings, the cooling ability can be as much as 20 degrees cooler. This difference is significant, but the system is not equivalent to central A/C.

All overnight guests MUST be registered with the State Park BEFORE sundown. Park gates close and lock at sundown, and only fully registered overnight campers are given the gate code. If for ANY reason, you might arrive to the park after sundown, you MUST call the Ranger Station BEFORE sundown on the day of your scheduled check-in to complete your registration over the phone. If you do not complete registration in advance, and you arrive after sundown, you will be locked out of the park, and not allowed access to your campsite until the following morning. 

Upon arriving at Colt Creek State Park, you must stop at the Ranger Station. Please inform the Ranger that you are registered to stay in a Cypress Tent. The Ranger will assist you in completing your registration as an overnight guest, and provide instructions on getting to your campsite.

Every campsite is outfitted with:

• a fire pit with cooking grill attached
• a charcoal grill
• picnic table

The Family Campgorund has a central bathhouse that is a short walk from your campsite. The bathhouse has separate mens' and womens' sides, as well as a family restroom. Each has toilets, showers, and sinks. The bathhouse has hot and cold running water.
